About Us

Delta Supply Chain in association with CompeteFor is a free supplier platform that enables businesses to compete for contract opportunities linked to large-scale public and private sector buying organisations.

History of CompeteFor

CompeteFor was launched to support the enabling activities of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The online platform was constructed so that all UK business, regardless of their size, would be able to access and win the opportunities created because of the event.

This ethos has continued through the Delta Supply Chain platform, which is delivered in association with CompeteFor. Since 2012, the platform has supported multiple high-value projects of national significance, including Crossrail, HS2 and Thames Tideway. More recently, the platform has been adopted by Sizewell C, the New Hospitals Programme, the UK Parliament and Heathrow Airport.

The platform has more than 200,000 registered suppliers and has facilitated more than 20,000 contract opportunities. Approximately 75% of all contracts awarded through the platform  have gone to small-to-medium sized UK businesses.

Buyers

The platform enables buying organisations access to a diverse range of suppliers, and this allows the buying organisations to identify candidates that meet the criteria. CompeteFor also provides further support to the formation of consortia, thus allowing supplier collaboration on larger projects.

The key public sector organisations supporting CompeteFor include Transport for London and the Greater London Authority.
